Ok so when do you call the dr?

DD is 11 months and her temp was around 100.2-100.6 all day until just now it shot up to 102. My mom is saying she has to go to the dr but I thought they want you to wait 3 days.
DH had bronchitis and I just had a fever for 3 days. I finally went on an antibiotic yesterday and my fever is down today. WWYD? I hate fevers! She is definitely not herself. On her third nap and not really playing at all. Just hanging out in my arms.

ETA: She threw up all over me this morning also.

Vomiting and a fever, I would definitely call. Hope she feels better soon!

I always take DD to the Dr with a fever like that
I never waited 3 days

With a fever and vomiting AND not acting like herself, def call the ped. My ped always says a faver isn't a bad thing, but if they're not acting like themselves then I should call.

First I'm thinking you were both sick so the baby may have caught whatever you had.

Next I'm thinking fever and vommiting. The baby can get dehydrated that way.

I think the 3 days is after shots.

I hope DC is feeling better soon!

Call for sure if she's not playing. Ds was 104 but was playing and pedi wasn't worried but if he wasn't moving she said to go in ASAP!

Def call especially bc u are both sick. That's the first thing they ask when I bring one of the kids in, is anyone at home sick.

Thanks all for the advice. I took her in. The dr said she sounded clear and no ear infection. As of now they think its viral. She had 102 at 7:30 and I gave her Motrin and at 9:30 it was still 102. She's sleeping now so I hope it doesn't go higher. I thought for sure the Motrin would bring it down.

Ok so when do you call the dr?

i know im new to all this but 3 days seems crazy to me...

Thanks all for the advice. I took her in. The dr said she sounded clear and no ear infection. As of now they think its viral. She had 102 at 7:30 and I gave her Motrin and at 9:30 it was still 102. She's sleeping now so I hope it doesn't go higher. I thought for sure the Motrin would bring it down.

DD had this last week
Sudden onset of a high fever and ped found nothing
It was gone in about 24 hrs.
Try piggybacking tylenol with the motrin
It is definitely going around
