ikea sells those shelves. we actually have one in our bedroom with the "cube" drawers.
they are also bookshelves and can be laid horizontally.

I just saw something like this at Costco a few hours ago. It is a double column and not a single column but very nice. It comes with the baskets that fit in each box.
