Absolutely not. I read a couple of reviews yesterday and its more of a PG13 movie...
ETA: There are no kids in the movie (only the China doll with broken legs) and its kind of dark. Its basically a movie about how OZ became an OZ. Here is the link to the Time review...not sure if you're going to be able to see it since I'm a subscriber. Time Review

I would say no since my 4 year old can get scared in actual kids movies... 4 year olds really need a G movie, not even PG IMO.

While I would like to take her I think the answer is no. I am waiting to hear from someone who has seen it but it seems very much like the Alice in Wonderland that came out recently and I think it isn't great for young kids. More dark than the happy childhood movies. I love The Wizard of Oz but the previews seem a bit dark.

My DD, also 4.5, gets excited every time she sees the commercial and wants to see it but to be honest, it looks like more of an adult version of Oz. I don't think it will be appropriate for her so I don't think I will be taking her.
