So DH did his SA over at Stony Brook last week. My gyno had us both in and went over results. Overall, his numbers look good but I believe he said "motility" was a little low so he would like him to repeat the test. My question is we will be moving over to Nassau County so we need somewhere closer where he can drop off. He attempted to leave his sample at Stony Brook...Went into the room and walked right out. He drove home and did it instead and brought it back. He did cheat with using lubricant however!!! grrrrrr. I yelled at him and told him he will probably have to repeat and sure enough look what he has to do now!!!

Fingers crossed that the lubricant affected his motility and that he will get a better number next time around.


I came across LIJ which is just about 7 miles from where we will be living. Does anyone know if he can just go there now instead???

You would have to do a consult with one of their REs and they may repeat some of those tests.

My husband dropped off here twice. We weren't seeing any RE's yet but my GYN wrote him the script and suggested we go there. You just need to schedule the appt and bring in the script.

My DH had his SA done there without us meeting with an RE yet. MY GYN gave me the script for him to go and he just had to call to make an appt.

Great ladies thanks. That's how Stonybrook was, I just had to call and schedule and come in with the script.

DH used somewhere in Syosset I think. I believe it was called Sunrise Medical.

Yes, sunrise medical does it in Hicksville from what they told me. I figured LIJ is a little bit closer for him to drive to.
