HSG question
Do most insurance companies cover HSG tests?
I have GHI/Emblem health for city employees

HSG question
I'm pretty sure most ins cover the test. Some ins may need a referral or pre auth for it. I call the number on the back of my card a lot for IF coverage questions. Your Dr may even call for you when setting it up.

Perfect. Thanks so much. It looks like we may be going down the RE route in the near furture.... Did you have to notify GHI with ref. to fertility treatment??

Good Luck, my RE made all the calls to Emblem- and DH insurnace and told us what we were covered for and not.
Our plan allows us unlimited IUI, but we pay for meds etc and co payments

HSG question
I have GHI- NYC DOE teacher. I had mine last month and I haven't heard anything yet so I assume its covered. The REs office would have let me know if it wasn't. I didn't notify GHI of anything the REs office took care of all that and gave me a list of what is covered. Testing and diagnosis, Unlimited IUIs are covered I believe and a part of IVF is covered. I started going to a RE in January and I have only paid copays so far. It adds up bc you have to go often for BW and Sonos but its great to have a lot of this covered. Good luck!
