Not Sleeping - Help!!!
Hi All - This is my first time using this site. A fried referred me and said it is a wonderful tool. I am 24 weeks pregnant and experiencing horrible anxiety (which I am seeking therapy for) which has led to sleep deprivation. I am getting the anxiety under control during the day but can't seem to get it controlled at night. I lay down and I guess I am too afraid of not sleeping so I don't sleep. I have been living on benadryl but I don't think they are doing the trick. My doctor prescribed me .5 mg of Klonopin to take at night but I haven't filled the scrip as I am concerned about taking it while pregnant. I didn't have this problem before my pregnancy and it kicked in about 2 weeks ago. I am a zombie at this point! Not sure how to move forward. My bf Tom has been amazing but I knjow I am driving him insane. The worst part is I seem to be getting my zzz's in the morning right when it's time to get up for work. Otherwise it's up and down twist and turn all night long. Anyone have any suggestions?? Thanks all!

Not Sleeping - Help!!!
I am so sorry... I dont have any advice but I have been there so I feel your pain. I had the worst pregnancy insomnia. At times I was lucky if I got 1-2 hours of sleep a night. Everyone would tell me "sleep now before the baby gets here" and it would only make me feel MORE anxious! All I can say is its gets better. My insomnia went away after I gave birth and I sleep much better now. I really hope relief comes to you soon and you get a good nights rest!

Have you tried Unisom? I would talk to your OB about taking it. I know my Dr let me take it for mornign sickness so I owuld think it would be ok but check with your Dr first.
