Dr. Elissa rubin patients please come in

I was wondering when your dc started seeing her other partners. I had made ds's 1yo well baby appointment 2 months ago with dr. Rubin and then got a call yesterday saying he'd be seeing dr. Somach. Nothing against her but I could've sworn that at the tour, dr. Rubin said she sees all her patients until they become a teen which is when they can start seeing dr. Somach. then last time when ds got sick he saw a new partner who I felt wasn't very good. I had to ask me pedi friend who told me ds had roseolla. The partner just said ds had a virus, wait it out, walked out of the room before I could ask anymore questions! I really loved dr. Rubin and am just feeling a little frustrated at ds being tossed around.

Dr. Saunders is the the one who sees the older patients and Dr. Somach is the new doctor. I'm not a fan of hers and expressed it to one of the nurses. I would call up and tell them you prefer to see Dr. Rubin for the one year visit. I understand her office is getting busy however she should still be giving special priority to those who started out seeing her. I know how you feel about being thrown around.

We had my daughters 3yr well visit with dr. Rubin scheduled and the morning of the office called saying Rubin was sick and couldn't see her today, that Dr Somach would. I said no way she's been seeing Rubin since she's born, I want at least her well visits with her. So I had to wait almost 2 weeks for another appt but I didnt care. We started with her and I like to sit and talk to her about my DDs and how they are growing etc.
I do see Dr Saunders for most sick visits though and I don't usually mind her.
But I agree the office is growing and I don't want to become just another patient. I want that same care like when we started with her

I usually just request to see Dr. Rubin for the baby- it usually takes longer to see her. My older son (6yo) sees Dr. Saunders usually, and I like her. Not sure on Dr. Somach yet, we've only seen her once. I would guess that something came up with Dr. Rubin so they had to switch you to Dr. S?

I would think something came up that was the reason for the switch. If that's not the case, that's strange and I'd want to know why. I make DD's well appointments ridiculously far in advance to see Dr. Rubin and I have to leave work early than I normally would, etc. for them. I don't have that much flexibility to reschedule, either.

We've seen Dr. Saunders for sick visits and Dr. Rubin for well visits. DD is under 3. From my understanding, Dr. Saunders has more experience with older children. I haven't seen/been to the other dr.

I request which dr I want to see prior to scheduling the apt. Hopefully seeing who you want there doesn't become an issue because I love Dr. Rubin!

I just switched to group and was told I couldn't see Dr. Rubin until March so I saw the new physician in the group. I thought she was nice and was very accommodating to my schedule. When I was told I couldn't see Rubin, they said once I am an established patient I can switch to Rubin. They all have their own schedules. The office is just probably trying to fill up the new physicians schedule. As a patient you see who you want to see just be stern. However, if your child is sick, I found no issues with the physician.

When I booked DS 9 month visit, they asked if I wanted Dr. Rubin or Dr. Somach, but I would want to stick with Dr. Rubin as much as I can.

I wasn't given a reason for why the switch and I'm not happy about it because ds saw dr. Rubin since birth. I would expect at least for well visits that he sticks with her, especially since ds's appointments were made wayyyy in advance! I don't mind seeing anyone for sick visits but I'm very unhappy with this experience. I made ds's next well visit with dr. Rubin but if we get switched again, well I'm going to have to switch pedis! There's a reason why we started with de. Rubin, no?

I feel for u... It took me 3 months to choose pedia for my son. Dr. Rubin came to the hispital whne my son was born. She gave me first visit appointment and surprised that dr. Somach is the one who saw my son. Then next week is the first well visit still not dr. Rubin. I asked them why the secretary said ahes not available.
I dont like dr somach too. I dont know why they have to send us to her!

so far ive only seen rubin and my DD is 21m. i only make appointments with rubin and so far ive only gotten her but i havent been there since somach started cause we're late on the 21m and wont get in until 22m. i chose to wait and take an appt with rubin several weeks later instead of somach just cause i love rubin.

I have seen Dr. Rubin for all my kids well visits, and Dr. Saunders for their sick visits. I haven't tried the new MD, but if I need to for sick visits I will. I trust Dr. Rubin's choices in MD's so I am sure she is fine. I did meet her at my last appt. and thought she was very nice and easy to talk to. But I do have a preference for my well visits with Dr. Rubin. Maybe when my kids are older I will venture out LOL, but I like to make sure I touch base with her (since my kids seem to always be sick and seeing Dr. Saunders)
