Delivery for baby #2

Obviously I am very early thinking about this as I am only 5 week pregnant, but I am also only 6 months pp so DS1 delivery is still fresh in my mind!!

Those that delivered fairly quick with #1 did #2 come even faster? Did your doctor want to induce you?

Delivery for baby #2

Congrats!

With my first I went into labor 15 days early. My water broke, but I wasn't ready I guess because I wasn't dilated or contracting & it took 19 hours for my ds to come.

With my second I went into labor on my due date & I delivered him 90 min. after my first major contraction. I had been 4cm & contracting off & on for a few weeks, but once labor started, it started for me lol

Delivery for baby #2

With my first, I was closed up tight right up until the week of my due date, when I was a fingertip dilated. 4 days after my due date, I woke up early morning with my first noticeable contraction. Went to my already scheduled Dr. appt that afternoon and I was contracting regularly and 3-4cm. My soon was born that night at 11:06 pm after an hour of pushing.
With my second, I was 1 cm dilated for about 2 or 3 weeks. A week past my due date (a Thursday), I went to a regular appt, was contracting semi-regularly, and was 3cm. The next day (Friday), contractions got stronger, but still only semi-regular all day. Saturday morning, they were more regular so we went to the hospital, and my son was born at 12:17 that afternoon after 10 mins. of pushing.
So moral of that story, it was a more drawn out process with my second, but actual delivery was much quicker.

Delivery for baby #2

I was induced with DS 1 and delivered him after 20 minutes of pushing. He was in a position where the epi wasn't fully working so I was in a kit of pain (and he had a large head).

DS2 came 13 days early and came out after 10 minutes of pushing. I felt no pain either.
