Hoarseness and Being Pregnant

I can't take this anymore..this has been hanging around for just about 3 weeks..one min it's hoarse and the next min it's fine. I thought it was really getting better..but I guess not. I have this post nasal drip and a bit of a cough hanging around but I have been coughing to try and clear my throat which I am probably making worse. I am a secretary so I really need my voice. In the past my dr always had given me medicine to help reduce the inflamation so I am hoping there are pregnancy safe meds..I hate that my voice is so hoarse and I can not do my job well..Chat Icon Chat Icon I have an appt with the dr tomorrow night. Hoping I feel better soon.

What can I do in the meantime? I have been drinking lots of water hoping it will thin things out. Just not feeling like me..I can't stand it!!!

Do you have acid reflux? You might not even realize but the acid from your stomach can be causing the hoarseness as well. I was having a terrible time with it. I'm also a choir director so I need my voice to work. The doctor told me to take pepcid and I am like a new woman!

This is what causes my voice to become hoarse as well

I am not sure if I have acid reflux..never had it before. Today, voice seems a bit better but still raspy. This post nasal drip is driving me insane!!! My appt at the dr is tonight!!!! Hope to finally start feeling better.
