Washing clothes

With five weeks to go I want to start washing her clothes. I have all the no dye or perfume detergent for my he. For those who washed their baby's clothes already, did you put the clothes in the dryer? I obviously don't know how big she will be but I don't want all the clothes shrinking the first time I wash them.
Thanks!

Re: Washing clothes

I dried them. It's bad enough I have to hang up certain clothes for myself and DH, I just don't have the room to be hanging up tons of baby clothes too! If they shrink to the point of being to small, she needs the next sz up anyway!

Re: Washing clothes

I dried all clothes with DD and will for this one as well. I have a lot of hand me downs anyway. Hanging baby clothes is just not something I want to start doing. I washed and dried all clothes before she wore them up until probably 3 or 4 years old.

Yes, I use the dryer on the low setting.

This. Certain brands tend to shrink no matter what. Gerber is the worst. I've never had a problem with Carter's or GAP. Just stick to washing on low or how the tag says to launder.

Re: Washing clothes

Yes dry them. Babies make A LOT of laundry. You will go nuts hanging them to dry.
