Out of Breath
I am 15 weeks tomorrow- had an appointment with teh OB and I mentioned that I have been feeling out of breath.
She suggested seeing my internist and said far too early for me to feel like it... I am kind of reluctant to go to my doctor- its still flu season and I dont see a reason to expose myself. I get out of breath mostly on stairs and I don't feel sick or weak or anything-- so would you follow-up with the internist or just wait it out?

Re: Out of Breath
I always felt out of breath. Once I started drinking more and took my iron, I am severely anemic it helped!! I am only 21 weeks. It's gotten so much better but I realize if I have a bad day of drinking water I feel like I can't breathe at all. Stairs definitely wind me, a lot!

Re: Out of Breath
I think it's totally normal at 15 weeks. I know I was out of breath walking up stairs at that time, DH called me James Gandolfini.
I still get winded going up stairs now at 27 weeks.
I would not go see an internist, I think whomever you saw is jumping too fast for that. I think it's totally normal.

THIS IS ME EXACTLY! I take the stairs to get to the train and I am out of breath! If I walk for too long I am out of breath When I told my OBGYN he wasn't concered because he said that the blood in my body is trying to go to a million places and this is normal to feel. It has gotten better for me, now I am having low blood pressure issues

thanks girls! I kind of thought it was normal! I'm going to wait it out- hopefully when the baby drops a little, it will be better

I am the same way!! Stairs get me everytime and if I'm carrying anything up the stairs (like a 27lb hunk lol)? Forget it!

Re: Out of Breath
I think it's totally normal from all the hormones! At least I hope so, because I was out of breath since 6wks! As long as you aren't getting out of breath with lightheadedness and other alarming symptoms, I think it's fine.
