OT, but pregnancy related
Currently I commute to the city, I hate it! I am so over it and I want to work on the island! About a month ago I randomly applied for a job in my field that came up, I wasn't looking, I got a notification that came up in my email and said what the hey, not really thinking anything would come with it. Well today I get a phone call they want me to come in for an interview, I am currently 21 weeks pregnant. WWYD? I want to go, but with my current job, I'll get 8 weeks paid maternity leave, obviously I wouldn't get that with a new job and since we are in the middle of buying a new house, I really need to be paid for those 8 weeks. Also, if I go on the interview, do I let them know that I am pregnant? I am pretty close to just calling them back and letting them know that this probably isn't such a good time, I just don't know what to do !!!
Sorry this is so long!!

I would go on the interview. You don't need to tell them you're pregnant yet (unless they ask). See if they call you back for a 2nd interview. I understand the money thing and that you'd need to be paid maternity leave but if this job is something that would benefit you more long term then I say go for it.
Weigh out all the pros and cons. Plus an interview doesn't mean you have the job yet. Good luck!

I would interview, you never know if you are even right for the job or if it's a good fit for you. I would go and then if it is a great fit and they hire you...then you can make a decision.

Re: OT, but pregnancy related
Thank you!! That makes sense! I am just so nervous, I haven't interviewed in years, and since I am in the midst of packing, I am not sure where my portfolio is, but I think I am going to just do it, what you guys said makes total sense!!
Thanks!
