It's a drive to the town, but we always stay at Diamond Cove Cottages. They owners treat everyone like family. It's def not a state of the art place, but it's a nice spot with your own cottage, right on the lake and its quiet. There's a little beach and at night you can have a bonfire. Only about a 5-8 minute drive to the town.

Re: lake george

The Holiday Inn on Canada Street is very nice (they just re-did it like 2 years ago) and its a quick walk into the village (less than 5 minutes). That would be my first recommendation. It's a super nice Holiday Inn with a beautiful stone fireplace in the lounge, an outdoor firepit, and you can see the lake from a lot of the rooms.

If you're looking for something ON the water, then I would recommend the Georgian. It's right in the village basically, but I will warn you that really none of the hotels with beach access in the village are very nice. If you're willing to make a very short drive into the village, then the Crest Haven Lodges right down the street in Diamond Point are very very nice. It's maybe a 4 minute drive into the village.

We own a house in Lake George village and we go up almost every weekend in the spring and summer. My FH's family have been going up for over 15 years. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help Chat Icon
