How annoying!!
I would have shown her my book and ask her to keep her voice down.
Back when Titanic was out, one of my friends was going to see it but then they heard that Celine Dion song that added voice overs from which you could tell the Jack character died. She was so angry and her DH was a weirdo and wouldn't take her to see it since he knew the ending.

If you go on mugglenet they have a liunk to a vidoe where some guy in a minivan drove by the bookstore at 1am where people were waiting in line for the book and shouted out the ending!

Her DH is a bit weird about stuff like that and since we all know what happened with the titanic, knowing the main character dies sort of ruined it for him.
