Has anyone known someone who has relocated from LI to Charlotte or Fort Mill? Starting to research it as a possible 3 year plan. The rat race of Long Island is getting to my DH and I. Thinking a slower pace may be better for us. We want a place that still has a lot to do with nice, new homes/shopping/restaurants.
Any feedback appreciated.

Ballantyne area and south Charlotte are basically lala land. Tons of long islanders. LI people really love it there.
