Living room furniture
Where is your living room furniture from? Do you love it?
In the next few months, I'm going to be redoing the living room. I want to start replacing our "starter furniture" throughout the house and getting some quality pieces that will last.
I definitely don't want the most expensive furniture, but I just want nice, normal furniture. I thought La-Z-Boy was supposed to be a good company, but then I read some atrocious reviews...so I'm kinda questioning that now. Any reviews about them or recs on another company?

Re: Living room furniture
I got my formal living room furniture at Bassett. But I use my living room as a sitting area, again mostly when I am entertaining. I have a den that I use for a hangout/tv room (where we spend most of our time) and a finished basement for ds. So the Bassett furniture, while pricey, is furniture that I will have in my home forever, probably! We don't have that much wear and tear on the living room furniture.
I really liked that they had a designer that worked with us to choose customer fabrics for the pieces we chose. We got a sofa and 2 wing chairs, a coffee table and two side tables. I don't remember the cost. But I loved the fabric choices - our sofa is neutral but the chairs and some of the accent pillows for the sofa are a bold striped pattern.
The living room was the hardest room for me to furnish, but it really came together well!
If you are going for a less formal living room, I would try Raymour and Flanagan.

Ours too. We bought all of our furniture from them during holiday sales and were very happy with them.

We got a lot of our furniture from Macys and 4 years later it hasn't held up well, quality stinks IMO wouldn't buy from them again.
