tmi sorry, poop question and solids
I have noticed that ever since I started to give my DS fruits and veggies 2x a day, he has been pooping more frequently (like 5x so far today!) but they are very hard in consistency. I looked online and I read that hard poop could mean that he is constipated, but i'm confused since he's been going much more often. What were your experiences when you fed your DC more solids? Also if it does seem that he is constipated, do you recommend any foods I should be avoiding, or feeding him? TIA!

It could be that he is a bit dehydrated. still give him plenty of liquids besides the solids. also i think it is normal for them to be thicker. foods that help constipation- pears, plums, prunes (dried plums)... sometimes oatmeal

How hard? My 6 month old just started solids and also poops way more ( 3-4x say) and much more of a firmer consistency lol... Looks like its hard, but if I mush it in the diaper it's not hard feeling. Does he cry when going? Call your dr if you think it's too hard. I asked my ped and what I said above she said was okay for him to be doing

DD was always constipated so my ped said to give her prunes everyday, so for breakfast she got prunes mixed in her oatmeal and that took care of her hard poopies!
