FSBO or go with a RE agent?
What is the best way to go do you think? We have an investment property that we are considering selling.

Re: FSBO or go with a RE agent?
I think in today's market, a RE agent is the way to go. In the last few years, with the way houses were selling, I would have said FSBO, but the market has stalled and is so inundated with houses for sale now that having someone in your corner can't hurt.
You can always try FSBO for a little while and see if you get any interest, but the winter is typically a tough time to sell so don't wait too long.

Re: FSBO or go with a RE agent?
after watching numerous episodes of shows like property ladder and flip that house
a real esate agent is the way to go
it's there job to sell your home- they can bring in the buyers

Re: FSBO or go with a RE agent?
You can try to sell it through MLSISLAND> they list it for you on MLSLI.com for a flat fee and then realtors can still bring you buyers. That's how we have our co op and it seems to be working well. We've had a few private offers and one realtor offer but all were too low. I wouldn't do fsbo.com because we didn't get one call from them. You can try craigslist too. But you have to want to do open houses by yourself and stuff. Its actually more of a hassel this way but we'll try it a little while longer. Good luck to you!! FM me if you want more info

RE Our house was Assist To Sell and the we only found it by accident because we were looking at a house in the area that was on MLSLI.

Re: FSBO or go with a RE agent?
I tried selling my condo on my own with no success. Eventually I went with a RE agent anyway. Save yourself some time and just list with an agent!

Re: FSBO or go with a RE agent?
i prefer to go with fsbos but in the past i have learned my lesson.
i bought my first house through fsbo and i had no problems.
Dh and i looked at a few houses that were fsbo's and they were either estates or inheritances.
unfortunately, estates and inheritances, people can be very greedy. we lost what we thought was our dream h ouse because of it. the market was coming down, and we just felt that it wasnt worth what was being asked.
oh well, another house is out there..
but -- finally, my opinion would be Real estate agent.
