Baby bargains book
I'm a little more than half way through the book and most of the stuff is really helpful as a starting point but other stuff seems a bit silly/extreme...ie no sippy cups...is it just me?

Baby bargains book
Not just you. There is some stuff that I just skimmed over and didn't agree with. Like don't register for a walker because they are dangerous. I can see if you aren't watching your child that they can get hurt in them but seriously, we all keep an eye on our kids. I don't have the room for storage for one so I'm not registering for it now but one day our son will have one.
Other stuff is SUPER informative and I compared it to reviews online and went from there. I read the whole book and once that gun got in my hand to register it was almost too overwhelming and I forgot almost everything I read. And I even had tabs and notes with me and it just all smushed together.

Re: Baby bargains book
the no sippy cups thing is not just a baby bargains rule. many pediatricians will now tell you not to use them and go right to a straw cup at 6 months of age.
same with walkers. they are considered dangerous because of stairs and a baby's inability to move once theyve fallen in one. i listened to my ped (and to baby bargains) on both fronts and i am glad i did.
but yeah, that book really was a godsend for me when i was registering. i generally stuck to their products that had an A or A- rating and there is not one thing that i received or bought that i was unhappy with.
good luck!
