wwyd...bringing newborn out
dd is 17 months and ds is 5 weeks. we have a 1st bday party tomorrow at a firehouse. There are about 70 people going. I originally said I was going because I figured ds would be in his stroller the entire time. my friend texted meto let me know her dd (the birthday girl) has a cold. now obviously my ds will be away from her but I am now afraid of my dd mingling with other kids, especially school age and bringing it into the house. am I being paranoid? would you go? I was thinking about maybe going for an hour. being my dd came down with the stomach virus for 8 days, 12 hours after I brought ds home frm the hospital, I am so afraid to get something in the house.

I would not risk it :( There is so muchgoing around right now I would err on the side of caution.

I am pretty laid back when it comes to my son, we took him to a friends house for a memorial day BBQ when he was 2 weeks old. However, in this situation I would probably stay home. This is a pretty nasty flu season and I just wouldn't want to risk my newborn getting sick.

Normally I'm pretty laid back about this kind of stuff, but in this case I'd say no. Only bc not only have both of my twins been sick in the past week (and they are not in daycare or ever sick), but I went to BRU today and I cannot tell you how many kids I saw with snots coming out of their nose (mine is one of them, but I left my kids at home). After that, I was like ok, we're staying in.
Not to mention I have a cold along with several other people I know so there is definitely something going around.
