Warning - Identity Theft

For any of you who use a gym, like LA Fitness and X sport all across the island please be weary of theft. There are people going around breaking into lockers, they swipe your credit cards and put your balance on a gift card which they have been using at big box stores like home depot, bj's and Costco. (they break into your locker but the lock is intact so you would not be the wiser, and they do not take your cc)If you have also purchased from Jamba Juice kiosk in Roosevelt field please check your accounts regularly for any suspicious activity. I do no belong to a gym but three others who this happened to also purchased from jamba juice.

This happened to me last week and I reported it to my bank, then last night I was contacted by suffolk county police who are investigating the matter. They already have 1 person arrested and are carrying out their investigation.

I don't attend that gym, but my bank notified me about 2 weeks ago about suspicious activity on my account and sure enough someone must of got a hold of my credit card number and made a duplicate credit card and started shopping at Walgreens and BJ's. It was so scary and I felt so violated, like I can't even go shopping anymore without being worried this might happen again. I cancelled the debit/credit card and they refunded my money, but still very uneasy. Just be very careful where you use your credit card.
