Rx - throwing up - when to change?

DS has had his fair share of ear infections. Last month he got strep and he has it again.

Doc put him on pennacycilian (sp ). DS has NEVER thrown up from medicine. He also had diarrhea. He started the med on Monday afternoon.

At what point do you call the doc and switch meds?

and you're loading up on bananas, yogurts, applesauce? things to help bind him?

He's 5. I haven't given him anything. He only threw up for the first time after dinner ( guess the orange was a bad idea).

He really doesn't like applesauce or yogurt.

the diarrhea could be from the meds. Are you giving him probiotics?? If not, you should start that asap since he doesn't like yogurt.

So he only threw up once?

I might not be the antibiotic. My dd throws up with ear infections & strept all the time. Dr. said both infections can cause someone to throw up.
