I understand the idea of it and in that sense it's sweet --- but ... I don't understand what purpose this achieves. She isn't a baby in those pictures, she's 13. Anyway, I hate to judge because clearly this photo shoot is very meaningful to them. I guess it's never too late!

It's never too late to do a newborn shoot!
I think it was an amazing thing to do for her adoptive son ... did you read the whole article? It was the son who basically came up with the idea since his mother is a photographer who shoots newborn pictures
Coming from a family of a few adoptions ... 2 infant and 1 as an 8 year old I can see how he would want such photos ... I think it is amazing

Like I said, I think it's a sweet idea but I personally don't don't understand the purpose. I'm not in the one in the situation though and clearly it was meaningful so that's awesome for them. I never implied I disagreed. I am actually very nonjudgmental!

I didn't mean anything by the comment .... My sister only looked at the picture the other day and didn't know the whole story and thought it was a joke ... That's all

I loved it. I think it is so incredibly meaningful for them and I am thrilled that they could offer something so beautiful for their son. To me - I think his adoption is almost a rebirth of who he was to who he is and these photos capture that moment. I am really happy they were able to take these photos.
