Giving a trip as a gift

Im giving my husband a trip to Vegas in September for his 40th Birthday in March.

Im trying to figure if I should book it now or if I should just tell him we are going and book it closer to the date to get a better deal.

If I book it now with a TA, Can they give a credit if flights or hotel prices change???

Giving a trip as a gift

I'd wrap him fun stuff like a few poker chips and dice and give it to him as a gift and let him guess.
I'd book the hotel now but not the flights to try and wait for a deal.

I think Vegas is such a simple trip you definitely don't need a TA to book you can do it all yourself.

This!

Just booked a trip in December for January to surprise FH by going to Dallas.
I set up a scavenger hunt and let him guess where we were going. Talked to his boss and arranged the days off, and booked everything. You can definitely wait on it. Also, make sure to look out for any groupon deals on hotels! Never been to Vegas but I always see such good deals on there! HTH

Oh thats a good idea! I know when we booked our honeymoon if the prices changed we were able to get money off before we paid the last payment for the trip, didnt know if that was a normal thing to do or not.

Ill let you know that dates we choose! Try and get a sitter and come with! No kids tho!!

Giving a trip as a gift

I sent my parents to Hawaii for their 30th anniversary. I booked everything prior to telling them. Then I boxed up all sorts of Hawaiian items (leis, coconuts, etc.) and gave it to them with their trip info.

My SIL took my brother to CA a few years back to see their favorite football teams play. She booked everything in advance and told him what to pack. She didn't tell him where they were going until they got to the airport.

I LOVE travel surprises!
