Quick Registry Question...

I just a had a friend who is also pregnant text me that she was looking at my registries at BBB and BRU and wanted to let me know that there were doubles on them.... Is this normal to be worried about that? I did it on purpose so I ensure I get everything I want...There aren't any BBB's where my family lives so I figured I would put everything on both and then just update my registries as I went. For instance my baby monitor was on both but when my mom bought it off the BRU I went on the BB and took it off....Is that weird???

I know people do that, so it's not weird. I personally wouldn't. People like to feel special at showers, so doubles ruin it. I only registered at BBB because I liked their selection better. Regardless, many people got me gift cards or items from BRU. It was fine with me.

I understand that, but my plan is to keep up with my registries each day and try to prevent doubles from occurring...I know it isn't possible to prevent it completely but I will limit it....

Quick Registry Question...

My friend just did that...doubles and a shitt load of stuff on her registry. She had her shower this weekend and a lot of people ended up getting stuff OFF the registry (mainly clothes) because they were confused and a lot of the stuff was not available. I always think a registry should be organized and most importantly make sure you update it a few weeks or so before the shower as things get discontinued, etc. Also people like to be the one to buy xyz and it's kind of like oh I bought xyz and so did Joe Shmo. Apparently I'm a dummy, I don't understand...Why were people confused, and how were things not available?

I don;t thinkk people really get confused. Sometimes things are available only at the store or only online. Which is what propbably cause "confusion". People will ALWAYS but off the registry...mostly clothes but other stuff too. I would not change your registry. You can always return things and buy what you want.

Also 90% of what we put on our registries you can live without very easily.

I agree with Alli. I am going to do this for a couple of items with the doubles but mostly I am going to do it with diapers and wipes and anything I don't mind having more then one of. If you keep up with it you should be ok. Some people just might not get it but like Alli said, you can return it.
