What foods upset baby when nursing?
Do you know of any specific foods in moms diet that will upset a bf baby's tummy? TIA

Every baby is different. My DS still nurses at almost 2 and nothing I have ate(I have never avoided anything) has ever upset his tummy. It's pretty much trial and error with every baby.

every baby is different....i ate EVERYthing...never had to give up anything! 
ETA: i should add...i don't eat spicy food - so that wasn't really an issue!

i heard spicy so i steered clear when i was nursing. broccoli made DS gassy, that was really the only thing i found bothered him. but every baby is different.

I stick to one cup of coffee after I nurse her in the am but other than that I don't avoid anything.

I was told no:
Gassy things like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, beans, Brussels sprouts.
Spicy things
Raw onions (I love raw onions)

every baby is different. i didn't change my diet at all. well, the only thing I had to stop eating was bags of raspberry m&ms

DD was VERY sensitive so I had to be very careful when I was nursing. Things I found upset her were:
- too much caffeine (any more than 1 cup of coffee in the morning was no good)
- spicy food
- broccoli
- onions

My son is very sensitive to dairy. I was also told to watch out for too much citrus in my diet.

Onions, garlic, tomato sauce, citrus, broccoli, strawberries, chocolate.

I was going to post this today!!!! DD is soooooo gassy at night that she wails for hours. People keep saying it could be something in my diet...but I have no clue how to see what it actually may be. Someone said to try to eliminate dairy....but I feel like dairy is in everything!! I have tried to cut down dairy as of yesterday...but I will see if that makes a difference. I was reading it could take awhile to even see if it is making a difference for it to get it out of your system.

My situation was extreme, but I had to cut out all veggies and slowly re-introduce them. i was not eating the really gassy veggies from the start. I also eliminated most dairy for a while and saw a difference. Then all dairy for a while and saw little change so I went back to eating some dairy, like the hidden dairy.

Ohhhh good to know!!!! So maybe it's not that. She has diarrhea. But not bloody or mucousy. It's that yellow n seedy stuff but watery.
