Snacks?

What are some good, organic, non-GMO, nonprocessed snacks that are appropriate for kids with allergies (sesame & all nuts).

Snacks?

DS loves yogurt, cheese, fresh fruit, applesauce, hummus on little pieces of whole wheat bread, freeze dried fruit. Although a little processed, DS likes the organic puree pouches, which I throw in my diaper bag for when we are out. We like Plum organics and Ella's Kitchen.

Won't eat it!

He does eat cheese, yogurt, applesauce, raisins.

Can't eat hummus because of the tahini.

He actually does like those pouches too, but I'm not a huge fan of them.

Trader Joe's hummus is Tahini-free and DD loves it!

Also, how about freeze-dried fruit? Some different organic companies make them, and they're great to take along with you when you go out places. And Earth's Best (brand) makes a lot of snacks like cereal bars and cookies that you could try.

Edit: this is the dried fruit we find at Stop n Shop: External Image

Really? Which one?

I always buy the cilantro jalapeno one for myself and that one does have Tahini.

I'm trying to get away from the processed foods for him, but thank you for the Earth's best suggestion!

Snacks?

Have you tried making Hummus without Tahini? Here is a link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Odv6ltYAMw4
What about dried fruits or homemade granola that you can customize.

The regular, plain Hummus. The label on top is black, white, and red, I think. It clearly says "Tahini-Free" on it, and there is definitely no sesame in the ingredients.

I prefer the horseradish one myself, but we buy the plain one for DD.
