Re: I hate waiting!!!
One thing I'd recommend - make sure you touch base with them often! A lot of times I found that they were delayed with things that they already had, or didn't understand, which was super annoying. Don't assume they will get back to you without you bugging them!
I had to manage the whole process to actually get it done on time.

Re: I hate waiting!!!
Your attorney should have ordered title, if you are in contract. Did he or she say how long it will take? It usually only takes a couple of weeks, tops, to get back.
And as far as waiting to hear back from the mortgage people - what exactly are you waiting for? Your mortgage commitment? Is your application complete, or is the bank still waiting on items from you? Is your file with an underwriter for review? Has an appraisal been done, or at least ordered?
You can definitely touch base with your agent - she should stay in touch with the lender, the attorney, etc. and generally be on top of where things are. But the things you are waiting on are really more in the hands of the bank and your attorney. So you may get faster, more accurate answers from your lender and attorney on these things!
The waiting is definitely hard! But as long as you stay on top of it and have faith in the team of professionals you've assembled to assist you, there's not much more you can do. If I were you, I would go on Pinterest and pick out new furniture, paint colors, etc. while you wait!

Re: I hate waiting!!!
I am pretty sure they ordered the title, but never said anything to me either way. I am really upset with the people who I used are working. At first I loved them, but they definitely don't stay on top of things, and I am the type of person that wants things done yesterday! We submitted our mortgage application last Monday, I received an email from them telling me that they need salary keys, I sent that to them within 15 minutes, I haven't heard anything since! I emailed my lawyer to see about the title, but i haven't heard anything from him at all. It's frustrating, at this point though it's too late in the game to do anything, so I have to wait it out and just hope this all gets done. I am emailing my broker now to see if she heard anything from the bank! I should have just went straight to the bank instead of using a broker.

Re: I hate waiting!!!
You said you want to know if your agent has spoken to the "bank" ... are you buying a short sale?
If so, do you know who is handling communications with the bank? The bank is not going to want to be talking to several parties -- it's usually the listing agent, or a short sale processor or law firm that the listing agent retains, who handles the communications with the bank (submitting offers, talking to the bank negotiator, etc.). In my office, we have a law firm that specializes in distressed properties and has a lot of experience negotiating short sales/contacts at the bank handle everything for us.
If it's any consolation, if you didn't have your own agent, your offer would have had to be submitted through the listing agent (assuming the property was listed with a real estate agent). So you would have had an option to just deal with the bank directly without an intermediary.
I would definitely follow up with YOUR lender to make sure they received your salary info and make sure they don't need anything else. When applying for a mortgage, it's really important to be proactive and stay on top of the process.
As far as your attorney not responding to emails, I think that's unacceptable. I would get him on the phone and find out whether the title has been ordered AND get clarity from your attorney/agent on what you should expect in the process.
Buying a home can be stressful, but a lot of stress is eliminated if you know what is happening each step of the way and the uncertainty/speculation is minimized as much as possible.
Hang in there!

Re: I hate waiting!!!
I meant mortgage broker. We are in contract, we signed papers almost three weeks ago. I emailed my broker and will call tomorrow. The same with the lawyer. I am really annoyed and regret using every person that I've used with this house.

Re: I hate waiting!!!
When we bought our apartment a few years ago, we had the worst experience w/ our mortgage company. The broker did nothing to help - we had to do everything on our own. I had to bother them literally every other day, and each time I'd find out that they "lost the papers" "needed more things" etc --- don't assume people are doing their job especially if they're already being a pain in the butt. And people that bother them get things done faster That's been my observation. We got really lucky last time around w/ our mortgage company because they were totally on top of it but I still had to touch base and glad I did, because it made sure that people moved aggressively.

Re: I hate waiting!!!
Thanks! I called her and she said the title was ordered, and we should hear something within the next week. She said two weeks from when we signed papers, we signed last Monday, so hopefully if not the end of this week, then something the beginning if next. I just never thought this would be so stressful, silly me!
