Is this just a boy thing...
...or do I just have a wild one on my hands  ??
DS is 10 months old and will not let me change his diaper for anything! It is a battle to the very end. I feel like I'm wrestling an alligator most of the time, lol. My DD had her moments where she would fight a diaper change but nothing like this! So does this get any better as he gets older or will we be wrestling it out for another year or so...

DS is almost 13 months - same thing. i dread diaper changing time. I try to give him a toy or my phone to hold his interest but then i need to move fast since it only holds his attention for a few seconds!!

You should see the stash of toys we have near the changing pad! He could care less! He just wants to go go go! LOL!

def not just a boy thing, both my dds have done this where one person holds them down so the other can change them,
there was a time i avoided changing the diapers if it was pee i waited poop i cried cause i knew it was gonna get all over

it's the age! if DH is home we tackle the diaper together otherwise I give DS anything to hold or play with that I can grab. doesn't always work though!

My DS son is almost 10 months and is the same. I usually give him a toy and sing a song and that allows me to be able to change him.

Ugh, those poop diapers are the worst! He always kicks his foot right in the mess  .
Ok, so I see a lot of girls do this too. Our DD was usually pretty calm during diaper changes so this is new to us! DH said maybe we should just put plastic down and let him run around naked

Age not gender! My 8 month old dd is like that! My dh says its like getting a real work out changing her. My oldest was fairly calm.

No its not a boy thing. My DS doesn;t let me change him either, but my niece wouldn't let anyone change her either. I give DS my cellphone when I am changing him so he's occupied and doesn't realize he's being changed!

Oh god, DS is 8 months and already needs to be held down. He's constantly trying to roll over and wiggle out, sit up, etc. It's the worst when he has a poop

Dont know if its a boy thing or not but DS is 9mths and gives me problems. He is not so much wiggly as he is a screaming and crier lol. I have to give him something to hold while I change him to keep him distracted.

It's the age! Around that time it almost took 2 people to change DS lol. I could NoT change him on the floor bc he would flip over and crawl away. On the changing table it would give him anything- the nose sucker, the little jar of baby vicks, toys, the cream, anything to keep his attention on instead of trying to crawl away. It gets better! For me it did at least- now at almost 12 mos he's more calm.
