stomach bug

Is there a stomach bug going around?
DD was fine all weekend then yesterday out of no where she said her tummy hurt and threw up then she vomited again about a hour later and the my husband gave her a chicken nugget and she couldnt hold it down now this morning shes all blah and laying around and still cant hold any thing in. i have her a plain bagel thin and a couple of sips of water n it came right back out. :( then a few hours later she was crying that shes hungry so i gave her some applesauce but she could hold that either :(
she dosnt like pediliate so im kinda at a loss on what to do... \

Is there a bug going around and any advice on what i can give her?? Shes 2.

yes i know a few people who have had it. what about some soup - like chicken broth?

Yes, my DS had it last week. His OB said not to give him any food and only 1oz of liquids at a time... and absolutely no milk. Even water will make it worse and cause them to vomit again (I learned that the hard way!). Good news is, he started vomitting at 3pm, vomitted maybe 2-3 more times and then that was it. He was a mushball until bedtime, but he woke up the next day 100% fine. I hope she feels better soon!

My DD just had the 24 virus Friday night into Saturday, I had it all day yesterday, and DH has it today. Must be something going around. My DD didn't eat anything that day, nor did we. Food isn't important with a virus, hydration is. Keep trying to get her to sip water. Don't guzzle it though, it will come right back out. Hope she feels better.

Yes, i've heard about this going around too...I'm so worn out from dealing with my own cold-cough and my two sick kids (bronchitis/colds/ear infections)...we are FINALLY getting better, so hope we are spared this stomach bug.

Hope your DC feels better soon. I know how upsetting is is when your LO doesn't feel well.

my dd had it for 8 days. 2-3 days of sporadic vomiting then 5 days of diarrhea. it was awful. keep in mind I brought ds home from the hospital the day before and not even 24 hours it started. I hope it's shorter for your dd!!

Thanks everyone.. yes i learned the hard way with water this morning lol. I gave her a tiny bit of pediliate in a medicine dropper ( the only way i could get her to take it lol) and it stayed down.. Shes sleeping now so im hopping when she wakes up she will be feeling better Fingers are crossed its a 24 hour bug and not longer....
