should i book it....

Or thinking that you'll book and it'll go down the next day... It's so annoying. When you are comfortable with the price, book it. I missed out on an amazing deal that was available for only about an hour. Prices went right back up again... I'm still waiting to book bc I can't justify spending more in airfare than the actual AI would cost me Chat Icon

I think $466 is pretty reasonable for Aruba. Is it on Jetblue? You will also get a free bag per person which is good.

oh i know,..but if i do book it and it even goes down 20 bucks - I'll be pissed! lol

no jet blue is more...like a lot!

it is Delta...my mom told me that if you pay with a delta frequent flyer Amex they also give you 1st bag free...

i keep going back between the 2 and delta still is showing cheaper!

thanks!

I usually book airfare on Orbitz because of the Price Assurance. I have gotten checks back automatically if someone else books it for cheaper.

lol, yep, I've gotten a check twice but there's no guarantee that it will come up cheaper. Good luck!

Hmm is she traveling with you? I think you need the card and card holder with you to get it. My dad gets 2 bags free but if he bought our tickets but didn't fly with us we don't get the bags. This time they bought all tickets and are traveling with us we get the discount. You might want to check on that so you don't get hit with their crazy fees.

Be careful with expedia/orbitz etc when using delta. They frequently change their flight times or planes then move seats all over. I know people who booked through expedia and delta changed planes they lost their seats and put them all over the plane but bc they didn't book with delta directly delta wouldn't help them until they got to the airport. Which made it very stressful. Delta is horrible about making a lot of changes the moving seats. It has happened to us before. We are risking it this time bc we get 2 free bags, and for $197pp including taxes and 2 rows of 3 we figure with 4 adults they should be able to sit one of us with each girl if we get moved. We did book directly with delta. Here are site that track fare and let you know if there are changes.

thanks...

it is her account but i have a card in my name...she did that to use god forbid in an emergency...i never use it but have it for "just in case"...or on occasion if she asks me to pick up something for her and she is paying for it. thanks..though - that makes sense...so now I can pay her back over the next couple of months...instead of all on my CC bill! teehee! Chat Icon

and i was also warned about the same thing with going through a 3rd party...and it is not like it saves me..unless the fare goes down SIGNIFICANTLY ...and it is a good point...i wouldnt want to be separated from my 5 yr old and my 4 yr old.

my DH cant yet commit to a coming home date yet (with work)..and since the one way going is definite and pretty low i just booked it through Delta.com ($211-one way - which i thought was really good....) so now when DH lets me know the coming home date..i will add it to the reservation..

thanks for looking out!Chat Icon
