If you put cereal in DC's bottle
How old were they, how much did you put in and for what reason?
I would like DD to sleep a little better at night and wondering if putting a little cereal in her bottle before bed would make her fuller and help.

We only started putting cereal in DD's bottle recently, at 7 months because she was diagnosed with dysphagia, a swallowing disorder, and needs to have thickened bottles for medical reasons, as fluid was penetrating her airway and she is at risk for aspirating on non-thickened liquids. We started with rice, but it was too constipating, so we switched to oatmeal.
Honestly, I would only thicken a bottle for medical reasons, not to help sleep. It is not natural sleep that way (like when we get tired after eating too many carbs). Maybe there are some other things that you can try first? How old is DD, and what is her nighttime sleeping like?

If you put cereal in DC's bottle
It's a myth that cereal in the bottle will help them sleep better at night. We were instructed to put cereal in DDs bottles by one of the peds in our office because of her acid reflux. Didn't make her sleep any better.

It's my first week back at work and I'm exhausted  Just trying to think of something to get more sleep. Guess I will just have to wait it out.

DD1 was sleeping from 10-5:30 when I went back to work with her, so this time around is a bit different. Added with the fact that I come home to 2 kids too!

We had to do that for ds, he had reflux. It did not help him sleep. We gave him ready to feed formula At night instead of powder. and he slept longer, the rtf def helped!
