How do I know if DS is hungry at night?
I always knew DS needed to eat during the night when I would hear him pick his legs up and slam them back down on the bassinet. Over the last couple days I find that he's doing this more often at night but I don't think he needs to eat. He seems like he's sleeping and doing it. Is it possible that he's doing this in his sleep? How can I gauge when he's hungry in the middle of the night?

How do I know if DS is hungry at night?
Does he cry during the day if he's hungry? I would let him sleep at night unless he cries. If he's really hungry he will let you know. My DS used to grunt at night which I thought meant he was hungry, but then I started to realize he would do it in his sleep so I started leaving him alone until he was fussing to eat.

How do I know if DS is hungry at night?
We always try to give DS a pacifier when he wakes up at night. Sometimes, he takes it and starts fussing again 10 mins after so we repeat the process. If he is still fussing after 3 or 4 attempts, we assume it's hunger and feed him.
And yes, i think it's def possible for your DS to slam his legs down while sleeping

DD used to do the exact same thing at night. I moved her into the crib for that very reason bc it would keep us up and she was usually sleeping. I don't know if she still does it or how long she did it for, but I slept much better!

And yes, i think it's def possible for your DS to slam his legs down while sleeping
this for us too. when she cries and is soothed by the pacifier and/or white noise we leave her. when we do those things and it doesn't work, we feed her.
