Need some help, DD won't eat her veggies anymore....
She's two months shy of her 2nd birthday. She used to love her veggies (peas, carrots, green beans, etc) and now she as been on a strike for some time now. We have tried hiding them in her grain or meat, she chews them and then spits them out, we have tried adding them to a sauce and we can get her to eat half her serving, but not the entire one. The pediatrician, during a wellness visit said to keep trying.
Do any of you have any suggestions we can try?

I serve them first, before she can get her main dish and "dessert" <fruit> she's usually hungry enough to eat them.
When in doubt, I blend veggies into a yogurt smoothie with tons of fruit.

Re: Need some help, DD won't eat her veggies anymore....
My kids loved their veggie purees but won't eat fresh veggies. They are 17 months.
I started giving them freeze dried peas and they eat them like they were candy. There are no other ingredients - just peas. No added sugar or anything.
They sell them in small bags in Target.
Right now I'd rather them get the benefits of the veggies than fight with them over something they just won't eat.
I might be more willing to keep trying if they used to eat them like your daughter, not sure.

This is what I do. Bowl of veggies is her "appetizer" lol.

DS is 2.5 and won't eat veggies except corn. We've resorted to giving him the baby food that comes in pouches to get those veggies in (mostly for the vitamin aspect). Usually the veg is mixed with a fruit to mask the taste, ie... peas and pears.

Re: Need some help, DD won't eat her veggies anymore....
I put them on her plate/bowl...every night she knows if she eats everything on her plate (most importantly her veggies) she'll get a fig newton for 'dessert'. If she doesn't, she doesn't get one. Maybe 5% of the time she didn't do it and went without the fig newton...rest of the time she eventually would just eat it to get her 'dessert'. Most nights we wouldn't make a big deal about it, just tell her the deal, be consistent and let HER make her choice.
ETA: Before 2, she ate whatever no problem. At 2.5 when she became more aware, we started implementing this deal It's been pretty great! Nothing makes me happier than seeing DD sit there and eat broccoli, kale, etc.

DS loves veggies but sometimes he wont eat them. I try not to do this too often but he is very into dipping, so we will put a little ketchup or sauce or something else out and dip his veggies (or whatever else he is refusing that we want him to eat) and more often than not he will eat at least some of it. Worth a shot

I have resorted to jars and pouches at times. I felt like I would rather she eat the veggies. She knows how to eat table food, so just gave me peace of mind to make sure she ate well.
