Anyone taking iron supplements (WARNING: TMI)
My OB told me I need to take iron supplements and since then, I've noticed more constipation and when I do go, my poop is jet black.
This is my second pregnancy. I've taken iron supplements before but I don't remember this effect from last time. Is this normal?

Crashing - I took them with DS 2 and its totally normal.

Totally normal. If it gets bad ask your doctor to prescribe/recommend something a little gentler on your stomach.

Yup. Normal. I took OTC iron supplements and my OB warned me to buy Colace also.

I am taking iron.... And have the same thing happening. Always black. Dr has me taking Metamucil which has helped with the constipation....
Good luck... I feel your pain.
