Picture People - Roosevelt Field or BuyBuyBaby?
I bought a groupon that can be used at these two locations. Which would you recommend? DD will be between 3 and 6 months when I use it.

The one in buybuybaby just opened so I don't have experience there but it's new and I would bet they are still trying to make a really good impression but I hated the one in Roosevelt field.

Oh, I didn't know they just opened. I wonder if the photographer has any experience or training on working with kids.
What didn't you like about Roosevelt Field?

Like above poster I thought they really rushed the session and I hated the pics. I asked her about a specific prop they had and she just responded baby is too young (dd was 5mths at the time) and my DD had a white dress on and she used a white background and it just looked awful even after I suggested a darker background. All around it was just a bad experience

I had a really great experience during xmas time at the RF location. I felt like even though they were packed, I got my time allotted. They took great pics of Joey, asked me what different backgrounds or poses I wanted to try. I think it depends on who you get unfortunately.

Re: Picture People - Roosevelt Field or BuyBuyBaby?
I hated RF. it was dirty, no place for me to change the baby into her outfit except a disgusting bathroom, so i had to change her on the cold floor, it was cold in the store, they had no props or anything to distract her with. I got maybe 2-3 okay pics, the others were bad. She is a good calm baby and cried most of the time.
Then they try to make you spend more and get this and that package...not impressed at all.

I went to RF also b/c I had a coupon or something, and they were horrible.. first of all some of the pics were blurry, they also didn't crop some of the pics so there would be the outside of backdrop and the wall behind it in the picture... Like Really? lol Its def you get what you pay for place lol
Good Luck!

same here! I wanted the pretty background that they had but they said it's a no go since my 7 month old can't stand. My older DS was wearing a white button down shirt & kept insisting on the white backgound which ended up looking like crap in the pics.

I think there is a Groupon for Picture People.
We have been there a few times. Always had good luck. You do have to ask for the props though. They don't usually just bring them out (which is annoying). I like that you get them back in an hour

Re: Picture People - Roosevelt Field or BuyBuyBaby?
So far, I've been at RF for 3 month pics and holiday pics. I had no problems the first time. The photographer was great with DD and got terrific pictures. The second time, the photographer was very nice, but I was not as happy with the pics (although still cute, as seen in my avatar), and the woman who sold us the photos was all but rude. She clearly did not like that we were just using the Groupon and didn't want add-ons, and did not want to give me my Portrait Club benefits until I read her the fine print and told her what I was entitled to. I will probably use them again for 1 year old pics, because I bought the Portrait Club membership for the year, and then I want to find someplace new.

My friend used BBB and I thought she paid for a private photographer. Her kids looked gorgeous.

Thanks for all the responses! I think I'll try BBB, probably for Easter pics.

I took DS to PP in PA. They said they HAD to use the white backround or they got in trouble. I told her I don't like and wanted it saved for last. I figured I'd get the good pics with the backrounds I wanted and then if the white ones didn't come out, so be it.
