Split and attic
We would love to utilize our attic in our split for storage, but the entrance is just not accessible.
It is a small cut-out in the closet of the spare bedroom. You have to take the pole of clothing out of the closet and then lift yourself into it. The opening is a small square.
Does anyone else have a split with access to the attic?
Suggestions?
TIA!

Re: Split and attic
We had that same problem. We have two attics in our split. Both are accessed from small closet hatches. One attic has our central ac equipment. The other we use for storage. We had pull down stairs put in our garage to access the attic.

Re: Split and attic
Could you do pull down stairs in the upstairs hallway?
We were going to do that but that's where out A/C pipes etc wound up

The attic is over the living room. I don't think that there is a way to do pull downs in the hallway without them opening on to the staircase.

Ugh I have the same problem. Except my hatch is on one of the walls in our smallest bedroom. I was told by an AC servicer that there's pretty much no way to move the hatch. So I really don't have attic space, it stinks.
