How do you cover up your greys?
So I'm approaching my mid 30's and the greys are sprouting up all over the place. I have medium brown hair. What is the best thing to do? get highlights? or dye the whole head? I'm not great at keeping up with maintenance so I'm looking for something long-lasting.

I get highlights for now. Will probably have to my whole head at some point, but not yet

Re: How do you cover up your greys?
I do highlights and low lights. I don't have a ton of greys but some randoms here and there - this covers them fine Blonde tends to hide greys better- so the highlights help

Permanent color. I have a lot of gray and don't want to do highlights on my dark hair. That's too much maintenance for me.
Sigh, if my gray were silver-colored, I'd just let it grow in.

I have plain old gray and i stopped coloring years ago (i'm 37). I get many compliments, and some critisism (generally from older women who say it makes me look too old). Many people tell me its trendy and looks like highlights.
For me, i'm just glad i have hair. The coloring was too much maintenance for me and i am wary of adding chemicals to my body.
I love seeing women on the street going natural! I want to high five. But i know its not for everyone. My mom wont give it up, no way no how.

I have a weird small streak of them and if I part my hair just so, you can see them. I like that.
For the strays - I rip those mothereffers out.

I get my hair touched up every weeks or so .. And when it comes times that I really need a touch up but don't have time, they have touch up color spray at Sephora that works like a charm !!!

I'm 46 and have a good headfull of white hair. Against my dark hair they look horrible, so I dye my hair as close to my natural color as possible. DH doesn't like the white and I don't like it either because it is just so white instead of silver otherwise I'd just let it go.

i used to do highlights but that got expensive and time consuming to maintain
i now just do a dye at home that matches my hair color. this way i dont need to worry about maintaining it too often, only when the greys come in. plus its cheaper then going to the salon

Re: How do you cover up your greys?
I have a ton of grey hair. My hair is almost black and they are so noticeable. I go to the salon every 5 or six weeks for a full color. In between, I do Root Rescue. I have to do it almost weekly because I have a complete white patch in the front of my head (think Stacy london) and I hate it!!!

I highlight and color. Double process. I don't have a lot of greys but they are all in my part! UGH!
