High Blood Pressure
Anyone here have high blood pressure treated by medication throughout your pregnancy? My doctors aren't concerned, since I have been easily controlled by medication (since way before I even got pregnant), but told me today that they will start growth sonos every two weeks starting at 24 weeks due to the fact that it can cause growth restrictions. I have done the 24 hour urine collection twice already and my levels are unchanged from before I became pregnant, which is good. Are these things standard? Is there anything else I should be asking about/looking for?

High Blood Pressure
Yes this is me exactly. I've had hbp from way before pregnancy. Not easily controlled thru medicine though. However, because of the hbp, my baby is very small and I've had growth sonos twice a week since 30 weeks. I will potentially be induced this weekend and she is barely over 5 pounds.

Re: High Blood Pressure
I didn't have HBP before pregnancy, but developed it with my 3rd pregnancy. I was on labetalol for my entire pregnancy and, nearly 1 year later, I am still on it. I take 400 mg 3x a day, which is a lot!
Starting at 30 weeks, I had weekly appointments, which included a NST and BPP. At 34 weeks, I started going 2x a week and also have sonos and the biophysical profiles. Since I also had GD, that is the reason my OB monitored me so much.
I ended up delivering at 37 weeks since my blood pressure couldn't be controlled anymore and I had uric acid and creatine in my urine, indicating my liver and kidney were not working well!
My baby was born healthy at 7 lbs 12 ounces.
