NYC DOE EMPLOYEES AND MATERNITY LEAVE
I tried calling UFT and they don't answer their phones..
My due date is may 24th and my 6 weeks leave will take me to the very last day of school. Do I have to come back the last day to guarantee my summer checks?

I don't work for the DOE, but chances are you won't go out on your due date, so it will probably be a moot point!

If I go a bit earlier or later im still in the same situation, so it isn't moot

Payroll closes at the end of May. You will get your summer checks. I had my DS on May 25th and didn't have enough days in my CAR to last me until the end of the school year but because payroll closed before I ran out they didn't dock me until September.

Yes you will get paid. If you dont have enough days they should dock you come Sept. I have a really good contact at the UFT if you want the number FM me.
I am due May 12th. I have 6 sick days since we have no maternity and I have a 2 year old!
