DH and I are thinking of going to Aruba in April or May. We will be taking DS with us and he will be around 8 months. Any recommendations on where to stay? We would like to have a fridge for his formula, etc. We were looking at possibly renting someones timeshare? Any feedback would be great!
TIA

Re: Aruba
We stay at the Playa Linda which is a timeshare and we love it. It's right next to Hyatt. Each room has a kitchenette (a full kitchen if its a one bedroom or bigger). There are tons of restaurants across the street so no need to rent a car. There is a small kiddie pool, a regular pool, and 3 hot tubs. Would def recommend it!

Re: Aruba
I own a week at LaCabana. Havent been able to go to aruba since 2007 but I do know they have renovated the entire place since then so everything is fresh and new. Can't wait to go back with DD and DS in a few years. They have a large pool slide that is great fun. Plus it's right across a road from the beach.
I alos enjoyed staying at LaQuinta for a week- much smaller and intimate timeshare. They were renovating one pool area back on 07. We also stayed at Aruba Beach Club and enjoyed that too. That one is right on the beach.
I enjoy Eagle Beach resorts better and always stay at a timeshare b/c I get a whole kitchen to cook meals.

Re: Aruba
We've stayed at the Marriott Surf Club and the Marriott Stellaris Casino and Hotel. LOVED the Marriott grounds and experience but preferred the hotel.
You can't go wrong in Aruba. It's a wonderful place to vacation!

This exactly... They're timeshares. We go every year. Great for kids. Lots to do and rooms are perfect. You can rent a week from someone.

Does anyone know how much a 1 bedroom timeshare would be to rent for a week? Ive been looking but the prices are all over the place and since we are flexible on dates I feel like we should be able to get a good deal.

100% agree. Bringing an 8 month old I personally like the Ocean Club better... you will do a lot of walking at the Surf Club (not so easy running back and forth to your room). You can go on redweek.com and rent from owners, that's what we do since my parents own and we don't. It's 100% cheaper then a Hotel and you get a full kitchen and living room. FM with any questions!
