Girl sperm are slower, so you increase your chances if you  closest to ovulation, but abstain from it before then.
But, since sperm can live up to 5 days inside you, you are running the risk of girl sperm not getting to the egg before the boy sperm, or getting pregnant at all if you only close to ovulation or too far ahead of it.
Basically, you're going to have a 50/50 chance.

East lots of dairy and avoid bananas. I took an extra calcium pill. Not sure if any of this really works, but it was easy enough to do and i got my girl!!!!

Get pregnant in a different time of year than you did with your boys. That is what my aunt said and she had her girl after 3 boys.

As far as doing it different times of the year, I conceived both of my children around the same week in August- one girl and one boy.

I agree with this. We BD on my very first day of ovulation twice & conceived 2 boys! It's much easier to have a boy imo. To conceive a girl, you really need to know your schedule and make sure you stop bd around 2 days before ovulation.

While I truly believe it's 50/50, I always thought that girl sperm were supposed to live longer so if you BD days before ovulation they'll still be around by the time the egg drops.
Boy sperm are faster, so for a boy you BD closest to ovulation because they get to the egg the quickest.
Again, I don't know if I believe any of this, but that's the theory.

For me it was not doing anything you are "supposed" to do when trying to get pregnant.
In fact I did the opposite.
Ate like shyt
Drank like a fish
Used non sperm friendly lube
Stood up and walked around right after DTD
All that good stuff!

Sorry, all the rest is IMO, mythology. According to everything (ovulation timing, sex frequency, etc), I shoulda had a girl first and a boy second. It came out opposite.

I think you're right, I think I wrote it backwards.
But I still think its 50/50 in the end. It can depend on your DH as well, he might have good healthy sperm that just produces boys!

MIL is one of 8 girls... Not a boy among them. Im thinking her parents would have been the best ones to answer this question!
Sorry, I dont have any real advice. I also think its just a crapshoot in the end.

Adopt.... it's the only surefire way. Any other "method" is just randomness. Usually only the "successes" are retold, but the other 50% of attempts at any method aren't talked about, so "methods" appear more successful than they really are.

This... Bc boy sperm are faster, but they die sooner. So if you bd a few days before, it's the hope that the girl sperm will be the ones left by the time they reach the egg. GL

My kids bdays are 4 days apart, and I have a boy and a girl...
Only thing I ever heard is the BD the day of or after ovulation. But, honestly- I don't really think there is a surefire way. Good luck!
