I was induced. 27 hours later my ds was born. I had gestational and they wouldnt let me get to 40 weeks. i was 4 cm when i got there contracting every 6-8 minutes at 5pm. Due to being dilated, they started me on pitocin and i began contracting every 1-2 minutes. BY 1-2 am, i started with back pain/labor. Due to being bedridden, i had not progressed, and i got an epidural. They slowed the pitocin. By 9am, my doc got there, broke my water, and i progressed. Mind you i slept through the entire thing once I got the epidural. by 430 pm (the day after i went into the hospital) i again began to have back discomfort and low pelvic pressure. I was checked and found to be 10cm and 100% effaced and ready to push. 1 1/2 hours later he was born. not as bad as i would have thought. Good luck!! You can do it.

I was induced both times with my kids at 39 weeks. I had great labors and very fast. My son was about 8 hrs with 10 min of pushing, and my daughter was less than 4 hrs with only a few mins of pushing.

I was induced at 41 weeks 1 day. Once the doctor broke my water things progressed nicely. I was started on pitocin at 7:30 PM, and DS was born at 3:23 the following afternoon. I pushed for about 30 min.
