First Time Traveling w/ 1year old
My husband and I will be traveling to Florida with our 1-year old for the first time.
Would love to know if you suggest traveling with a car seat or how you handled that part.
We're renting a car in FL and we plan to bring the umbrella stroller.
Any and all tips are welcome, as well as prayers for a sleepy baby on the flight :)
TIA!

I would absolutely travel with car seat. The airline might not require it, but it's the safest thing for your DC to be buckled in the car seat on the plane. Plus you'll need it for the rental car.
Try to schedule the flight for a nap time if possible.
For other advice we'd have to know more about what your plans are (i.e. - visiting family, staying in a hotel, etc.)
Have a good time. Mine traveled easy at that age!

We always bring our own carseat - it's a lot cheaper and you know the history of the seat. I usually check it with baggage since we use the CARES harness or DS flew as a lap child.

We'll be staying at a hotel so I've requested a fridge for the room.
He's riding on our lap for the flight so no need for the seat in-flight. We were able to get a Britax for cheap ($6/day) via my company's relationship w/ Enterprise. Thanks for the feedback!
