My OB made me go to my primary dr. The OB office may not have a rapid flu or strep test. I had to follow up with my OB and they called to check on me. I wouldn't want to go to the OB and risk getting other pregnant women sick while waiting.

If you just have a cold or cough, there isn't really anything any dr can do, so I'd just ride it out at home. But if you're really sick you go to your primary dr and let him/her know you're pregnant. If you're worried, you can always check with your OB afterwards about any meds prescribed to you, but primary physicians should know what is safe. Your pharmacist will also know, as well.
