So he's

a milk drinker!!!

He loves it and does great with it...

I just have 1 question:

I swore as soon as he went on to milk- he would go directly to a cup- BUT now that the time has come.... I just dont wanna give that one part of him being a baby upChat Icon -

So now Im shooting for after his 1st b-day- When did you do it? And how did it go????

I reallly dont see him have any issues- since he dosent seem to care one way or another...

ALSO- We are still on 3 bottles a day- do I have to go down to 2? Or keep the 3 as long as he's still taking it?

Re: So he's

Congrats on the milk!! Neither of my boys were attached to their bottles, so we went cold turkey to a cup. They never looked back. My 1st had his last bottle on his 1st birthday and my 2nd was the week before he turned one. It's defnitely more painful for mommy. Chat Icon

I still give Kevin 3 cups of milk/day (he's 12 1/2 months), so he gets about 24 oz, but I'm taking one away in a few weeks. I'll just give him water in the afternoon and continue to give him milk in the morning and at bedtime.

Re: So he's

Yay! Congrats!

Jared will take his milk in a sippy or a bottle. In fact, if all his sippy cups are being washed in the dishwasher, I'll break out a bottle. I started around his 1st b-day with the sippy cup too. Jared gets 8 oz in the morning..maybe a little milk in the afternoon and another 8 oz in the evening, with dinner.

Re: So he's

I started giving Julia milk at 11 months (when I stopped BF her) in a sippy, she was using a sippy since 9 months for Juice. I gave her a bottle once and she didnt like it, so I went right to the sippy (Nuby). I give Julia milk with her breakfast, and then one before bedtime.

I did it when he turned 1. He was taken completely off the bottle.

eta. if you're the only one that cares, you're better off switching now. Just because he doesn't care now, doesn't mean that in a few weeks he's going to continue to not care. You may have a problem on your hands then.
