anyone have d dimer issue..
just saw my hemo this week..
my d dimer is still pretty high, average is below 1 and mine is above 4
he basically said i basically just clot more than the average person etc
i was hoping to finally come off the 200 mg a day of lovenox i take but no go
he offered coumadin instead but then need weekly blood tests rather than monthly and with newborn twins just too much
my question is did anyone who had this issue, did it eventually go down?
i asked him if this was life long and he said well i do not like that term but i like long term
ugh! sorry just tired of injecting myself!

I know this isn't helpful AT ALL .. and not AT ALL what you're looking for but you're a freakin warrior lady!!!! 200mg is a lot, you're like a super champ.

I eventually went on Coumadin and my levels went down. Once I had become pregnant my levels apparently went back up and had to go back on the lovenox since I couldn't take Coumadin while pregnant.

I was on my lovenox for 6 months after DS and then baby aspirin for a while. I said no to the Coumadin also.
They won't drop your dosage??? Mine was high because they had to get rid of the clots but dropped it after so it just prevented them.
