Question for anyone who had implantation bleeding...

Any advice on my situation? Maybe TMI...

So I didn't get my period until I stopped breastfeeding my DS a year after I had him. I have had 2 normal, 7 day periods so far. They were 37 days apart when I was normally 28 before I got pregnant. My third period, which I have now was after 34 days.

Now my question..as I didn't have IB with my DS. I have tried reading about it online..but found so many different answers. I got what I thought was my period Thursday night. I wiped bright red, and through the night had some small clots. Friday early afternoon i stopped bleeding completely. The bleeding returned today (Saturday) late afternoon, but mostly just when I wiped. It was more of a watery light red color. I wear a liner, but there is only very light spotting on it. Then I stopped bleeding again around dinner time. I have never had a period that stopped and started up again like this, mine are always pretty heavy and dark red.

Has anyone experienced this before? I did have some symptoms which led me to believe I was prego...but most have since lessened, although the nausea and headaches are still hanging around. Not sure if they are from pms or not. I had mild but uncomfortable cramping for a few days before I started bleeding, but went away once it began. Strange..bc I usually have cramps all during the period and not before. Could this just be my body regulating after not getting my period for so long (even though the first 2 were normal), just a weird period, or is there a chance it was IB? I took a test last weekend and it was negative. Haven't taken another as I thought this was my period, and I don't want to get discouraged with another negative!

i had implantation bleeding that i thought was my period. i didnt realize it was implantation bleeding until three weeks later when the doctor told me i was pregnant. for me, it was like a short and pretty light period, though i remember the blood being dark in color. i think it hung around intermittently for about three days.

i was also extremely nauseous and bloated, though that didnt start until about two weeks after the IB. i know you dont want to, but id probably monitor my symptoms for another few days and then take another test. i never thought in a MILLION years i was pregnant, and surprise. so ya never know. good luck!!!!!!!

I had IB but it was just once really and light at 8dpo/dpiui. By the next night I had a BFP. To me, it sounds more like you have spotting before AF starts, and your body is still regulating...but I could be wrong. Hope you get the outcome you're looking for!
