Hi- so I finally went for a follow up today after testing and learned that beside my messed up ovulation (my cycles can be up to 50 days). My eggs have prematurly aged. I am 34 but my eggs are like I'm 40. He gave us an option to go either straight to IVF (due toe fact of trying for over 3 yrs and history of m/c) or do medicated IUI.. Does anyone have experience with the aging issue?? Tia

Hi and welcome! I also have an advanced maternal age. My RE recommended going straight to IVF. The fact you've been trying for 3 yrs without success I would do the same (especially since time is not always on our side). Wishing you the best of luck!! Feel free to FM me with any questions.

I also have advanced maternal age.. with a history of losses.

My first RE suggested we go straight to IVF, but that left me feeling uncomfortable.

With my second (and current) RE we are doing medicated IUI. We only did 1 cycle with him so far, and I did get pregnant, but it resulted in another loss. Our plan is to keep trying with IUI until my insurance covers IVF, then we will go that route and test the quality of my eggs.
