My sick 3 yo...
DS threw up last nite, since then hasn't been been able to keep anything down....even after drinking water he throws that up....he's slightly warm....poor kid we just went to chuck e cheese on Monday...must have been a germ fest that day....DS always seem to get something after being in a crowd...

Chuck e cheese is a germ fest several parents have said their kids got everything from chicken pox to flus and strep from there.
Don't rush to give fluids if he can't keep anything down. After vomiting wait 30 mins to 1hr before you give anything. Then only sips of pedialyte. No more than 1 ounce in the beginning every 15-30 mins. Start slow. Too much can restart the vomiting. Better to give pedialyte rather than water. They lose electrolytes when vomiting so the pedialyte will help. No solids for 6-12 hours after vomiting. I have had several peds and the ER in florida tell me that and it has worked except once when older DD needed meds to stop. Also tylenlol not motrin bc it is harder on their tummies.

Great advice from the previous poster! Don't know why but water makes you throw up even more. Sips of Pedialyte, gatorade, or white grape juice is the best to give.
